Duane Pitre's Origin and ED09 at The Stone are both coming out on the label Root Strata. Origin is coming out in Spring 2010 (no exact date yet) on vinyl and CD. The Stone ED09 (Fall 2010) will be on vinyl only. On an untimely note, his live recording of ED09 at NYC's Roulette in December '08 came out July 09 via Quiet Design Records. This was a 22-piece ensemble performance of the piece. From the Quiet Design site: "ED09 is an evolving, long-tone composition by Duane Pitre. This recording features 21 of New York's finest string/wind performers accompanied by subtle layers of bowed electric guitar played by the composer".
Lovers of Hate and The Freebie will be premiering at Sundance 2010. See you Jan 21.

Americans UK will be having their Rocktronic record release show June 19th at Public Assembly. Please buy tickets in advance as the event will likely sell out. 
Will be on location to record a live record by the Patick Wolff Trio - feel free to come by and be part of the audience. The recording is at Barrette in Prospect Heights and starts at 8 (2 sets).
Currently scoring some tunes for the documentary Re-Generation. Look out for it this Fall.
I'm on location to record the SEM Ensemble, Flux Quartet, and Okstravska banda. On the bill includes world premieres of Christian Wolff's Trio for Robert Ashley and Petr Kotik's String Quartet No. 1 Erinnerungen an Jan, as well as the American premiere of Salvatore Sciarrino's Vento D'ombra. I had the pleasure of recording Petr Kotik's S.E.M. Ensemble at the Paula Cooper Gallery last night. Marcel Duchamp's “La Mariée Mise à Nu par Ses Célibataires, Même. Erratum Musical” (1922) was a highlight, as well as John Cage’s 5 unaccompanied “Solos” (1958) and Fontana Mix” (1958) being played simultaneously. Allan Kozinn wrote a nice writeup for the Times.
I need a break from staring at monitors and listening to actors repeat lines about 233 times PER LINE. Seriously. So I'm playing more shows and there are a bunch comin' up. Check em out...
